Routine Patch
A routine patch has been completed, staging several back-end enhancements in preparation for the upcoming Devildoom Apostasia stage.
General Changes
- Fixed an issue that allowed the movement-speed effects of a Fashion Orb and Chat Bubble Orb to stack. Only one movement-speed effect will now apply.
- Fashion Orbs can now be extracted to obtain an untradable Chat Bubble Orb.
- Scratchcards have been removed from the game. Their rewards have been incorporated into the revamped fishing system.
Fishing Overhaul
Fishing has received a major overhaul focused on making the system faster, more rewarding, and more useful.
Fishing Rods
- Existing Master Fishing Rods have been upgraded to the new version, which can be used by any class.
- New players can purchase a Master Fishing Rod from the F6–F2 Store for 1,000 Gold.
- Existing Fishing Rods of Growth have also been upgraded to the new version, which can be used by any class.
- A new temporary fishing rod can now be obtained through gameplay. This rod uses Brown Carp through Gold Carp as bait, giving players a way to recycle previously caught carp.
Please note: Carp obtained before this update cannot be used as bait in the new fishing system. Only carp obtained after the update will be eligible.
Faster Fishing and Improved Experience
- Fishing time has been significantly reduced.
- The amount of bait used at once has also been reduced.
- For example, bait that previously took 15 seconds and consumed up to five pieces at once will now fish once every three seconds.
- Experience gained from fishing has been dramatically increased.
New Fishing Rewards
The new fishing rods have a chance to obtain items that were previously available from scratchcards, including:
- EXP cards
- Nametags
- Catalysts
- Regrades
- Cosmetic items
Higher-quality carp provides better odds of obtaining these additional rewards.
Developer Note
Previously, the Lord of the Seas Box frequently provided items with little practical value and did not contribute meaningful utility to the fishing system.
This overhaul aims to make fishing worthwhile by providing useful rewards, recycling previously caught carp, and incorporating the former scratchcard reward pool into regular gameplay.
We will closely monitor the performance of the updated system as more data is collected. Reward odds, available drops, and other aspects of fishing may be adjusted further to maintain a useful and balanced experience.
