Significant updates have been made to the networking systems powering Lunia NextGen, improving overall latency, responsiveness, and stability between the client and server.

Network communication has been redesigned to eliminate blocking thread behavior. Previously, certain operations could stall critical threads during data processing. These have now been converted to asynchronous processing, allowing the engine to handle network traffic more efficiently, especially under heavy load.

As a result, players should experience smoother gameplay, reduced latency spikes, and improved responsiveness during high-intensity scenarios. Due to the scope of these changes, minor instability may occur initially as edge cases are identified and resolved.

Stage Updates

Devildoom V has been expanded with new gameplay modifiers to enhance party-based play and increase combat intensity.

New shop items allow players to modify stage behavior:
  •  Reduce monster spawn intervals (2.0s → 1.5 / 1.0 / 0.5 seconds)
  •  Increase monsters per wave (1 → 2 / 3 / 4)
  •  Extend laning duration (+1 / +5 / +10 minutes)

These systems enable players to scale difficulty dynamically while improving rewards through coordinated gameplay.

System Improvements

Myth item exchange quests can now be turned in bulk.
Halonic Citadel licensing text has been corrected.
Achievement progress tracking for high-clear requirements has been fixed.
Friend system messaging has been corrected.

Halonic Exorcist Catalyst (Weak) improvements:
  •  Now uses correct late-game item tables
  •  Usable on all item types, including stage gear
  •  Supports light fortification
  •  Can now be farmed infinitely in Devildoom V

A new chat feature has been added: hovering over the chat box will pause auto-scrolling, allowing players to review previous messages without interruption.

Engine Fixes

Various updates have been made to improve overall latency and FPS.

Fixed an issue where the damage meter would incorrectly count damage multiple times.

Resolved an issue where damage numbers would not display when delivering a killing blow.

A temporary fix has been applied to EXP display. EXP gained from defeating monsters will now appear beneath your character, under your guild name (e.g. EXP +123.5M).
