Engine Updates
The network code used by both the game engine and client has been significantly updated. Data processing and communication between the client and server has been redesigned to improve overall latency, responsiveness, and stability.
Previously, some networking operations relied on blocking thread behavior. These operations have now been converted to asynchronous processing, allowing the engine to handle network data more efficiently without locking critical threads. This reduces the likelihood of network stalls and improves the game's ability to process incoming data under heavy load.
Due to the scope of this engine-level change, minor instability may occur initially while unforeseen edge cases and bugs are identified and corrected. We will continue closely monitoring performance and stability as these updates are deployed.
Stage Updates
Devildoom V has been expanded with new gameplay modifiers designed to promote party play and provide a new way to eliminate large numbers of monsters quickly.
New items have been added to the Devildoom V shop that allow players to modify the behavior of the stage:
- Items that reduce the monster spawn interval from 2.0 seconds down to 1.5 / 1.0 / 0.5 seconds
- Items that increase the number of monsters spawned per wave from 1 to 2 / 3 / 4
- Items that increase the laning phase duration by 1 / 5 / 10 minutes
These additions allow players to significantly increase the intensity of the stage while rewarding coordinated party play.
System Improvements
- Myth quests that exchange miscellaneous items for souls can now be turned in in bulk, allowing multiple turn-ins at once.
- Various texts related to Halonic Citadel licensing have been corrected.
- Fixed an issue where achievements requiring 11 or more stage clears in a single day did not correctly display progress on the progress bar.
- Fixed an issue where adding a friend incorrectly displayed the message that they were blocked.
- Fixed an issue where Halonic Exorcist Catalysts (Weak) used early-game item tables instead of late-game item tables.
- Halonic Exorcist Catalysts (Weak) can now be used on all items, including stage items, and also function for light fortification.
- Halonic Exorcist Catalysts (Weak) can now be farmed infinitely from Devildoom V.
- Added a new chat feature: when the mouse is hovered over the chat box, the chat will no longer automatically scroll. This allows players to read earlier messages while new chat messages continue to arrive.
Skill Adjustments
Over time, multiple quality-of-life improvements introduced across many patches significantly increased the power level of several classes. These improvements compounded over time, increasing damage output, survivability, and utility while also drastically reducing cooldowns.
In particular, some skills that originally had cooldowns exceeding 30 seconds were reduced to under 15 seconds, while still maintaining full-skill invincibility durations. This created scenarios where certain classes could maintain extremely high invincibility uptime while simultaneously benefiting from increased damage output.
These adjustments aim to bring class balance back to a more reasonable and fair level across all characters.
Gaon
- Great Lightning Strike now keeps enemies air-comboed for all hits, allowing the entire skill to benefit from the air combo damage multiplier.
- True Lightning Leap and Lightning Leap have been changed from Invincibility to Immune to Immobilization.
- The following skills remain invincibility skills: Single Slash, Spinning Spear Strike, Self-Sacrificing Blow, Dragon Fang, Flying Dragon, Feign Death.
Lime
- While transformed, skill invincibility frames have been converted to Immune to Immobilization to reduce excessive invincibility uptime combined with transformation survival mechanics.
- While not transformed, Pyororok Tongtong has been converted to Immune to Immobilization.
Krieg
- Fire Crush and True Fire Crush have been converted to Immune to Immobilization.
- The following remain invincibility skills: Disturbance and Shoulder Smash.
Sieg
- Infinite Meteor Sword has been converted to Immune to Immobilization.
- The following remain invincibility skills: Destruction Fist, True Destruction Fist, Flying Dragon Sword, and Feign Death.
Ralph
- Hurricane Surge Punch and True Hurricane Surge Punch have been converted to Immune to Immobilization.
- The following remain invincibility skills: Storm Ground Punch, Hurricane Massacre Kick, and Feign Death.

Atualizações do Motor do Jogo
O sistema de rede utilizado pelo motor do jogo e pelo cliente foi significativamente atualizado. O processamento e a comunicação de dados entre cliente e servidor foram redesenhados para melhorar latência, estabilidade e capacidade de resposta.
Anteriormente, algumas operações de rede utilizavam processamento bloqueante de threads. Essas operações foram convertidas para processamento assíncrono, permitindo que o motor lide com dados de rede sem travar threads críticas. Isso reduz travamentos causados por rede e melhora o desempenho geral durante cargas altas de processamento.
Devido à grande magnitude dessa alteração no motor do jogo, é possível que ocorram pequenas instabilidades inicialmente enquanto casos inesperados são identificados e corrigidos. Continuaremos monitorando o desempenho e a estabilidade do sistema.
Atualizações de Estágio
Devildoom V recebeu novas modificações de estágio que incentivam jogo em grupo e oferecem uma nova forma de eliminar grandes quantidades de monstros rapidamente.
Novos itens foram adicionados à loja do Devildoom V que permitem alterar o comportamento do estágio:
- Itens que reduzem o intervalo de surgimento de monstros de 2.0 segundos para 1.5 / 1.0 / 0.5 segundos
- Itens que aumentam a quantidade de monstros por onda de 1 para 2 / 3 / 4
- Itens que aumentam a duração da fase de lanes em 1 / 5 / 10 minutos
Essas mudanças permitem aumentar drasticamente a intensidade do estágio e recompensam grupos bem coordenados.
Melhorias de Sistema
- Missões Myth que trocam itens diversos por almas agora podem ser entregues em lote, permitindo múltiplas entregas de uma vez.
- Vários textos relacionados à licença da Cidadela Halônica foram corrigidos.
- Corrigido um erro onde conquistas que exigiam 11 ou mais conclusões de estágio em um dia não exibiam corretamente o progresso.
- Corrigido um erro onde ao adicionar um amigo o jogo indicava incorretamente que ele estava bloqueado.
- Corrigido um problema onde os Catalisadores Exorcistas Halônicos (Fraco) utilizavam tabelas de itens de início de jogo em vez das tabelas de fim de jogo.
- Agora os Catalisadores Exorcistas Halônicos (Fraco) podem ser usados em todos os itens, incluindo itens de estágio, e também funcionam para fortificação leve.
- Os Catalisadores Exorcistas Halônicos (Fraco) agora podem ser farmados infinitamente em Devildoom V.
- Nova funcionalidade no chat: ao passar o mouse sobre a caixa de chat, ela não irá mais rolar automaticamente, permitindo ler mensagens antigas mesmo enquanto novas mensagens chegam.
